Private accommodation retreat which can be hired out to small groups (30 guest maximum) for their own use to relax in the peaceful surroundings or for workshops, seminars or classes. Like-minded groups can take advantage of the private, bush setting to enjoy relaxing getaways with friends and associates. We have diverse interests ourselves and welcome positive, free-thinking people to enjoy and utilize this great venue. Over the years we have had groups teaching workshops on massage, American Indian philosophies, Wiccan/Pagan festivals, Tantra teachings, Energy healing, Re-birthing, Meditation, Yoga and drumming weekends.

Imagine sitting in circle with fellow travellers of the ShamanicPathways ... we will journey together, learn from each other and immerse ourselves in the healing power of Nature.
In this way this weekend will essentially be a soul centred experience, brining conscious connection to the diverse healing powers of nature, spirit energy and the human psyche. While you will be working with others in a community setting it remains a personal practise. Yeshi and Suzanne will incorporate the traditional way of the shaman into creative and intuitive practises that bring wellbeing, guidance, empowerment and the expansion of consciousness.
This will be an experiential weekend designed to offer a progressive and practical introduction to contemporary shamanic practise. We believe these practises can potentially become a way of life, influencing and informing all areas of modern living.
Participants will be introduced to core methods of how shamanic practise can assist us to enter non-ordinary reality for purpose of spiritual fulfilment, problem solving and healing.
Sweat Lodge Ceremony:
On Saturday we will be in ceremony all day. We will be energetically connecting with our sacred space, co-creating our lodge, building our altars, preparing the fire and of course the many rounds of ceremonial sweat lodge. Afterwards we will separately share sacred men's and women's business.
The Sweat Lodge Ceremony is an ancient tradition, symbolic of returning to the womb of Mother Earth. The ceremony encompasses both beginnings and endings. Each time we take part in a ceremony, we take a journey to the centre of our being, joined with the others and yet also alone. It is about birth, death and rebirth. It is a place where we can truly engage with the elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water, in prayer for ourselves and for others. It is a place where we may receive purification, wisdom, insight, understanding and healing. This Ceremony has been practiced for thousands of years across many different lands.
Shamanic journeying:
On Sunday we will continue the shaman's journey by exploring the hidden regions of the Otherworlds through shamanic journeying. This experience will be aided by drumming and other trance techniques, to assist us to drop into the shamanic state of consciousness and awaken dormant spiritual abilities, including connections with Nature.
Working with Power Animals: On Sunday we will also work with our Power Animals and Ally Plants, using our journey experiences and the nature of the venue. Many shamanic traditions suggest that we are assisted throughout our lives by the essence of various animals. Discovering and working with these energies can assist us to connect with the essence of Nature as guide, advisor, and healer.

The individual course is done as weekly visits here with Gillian & Barry, generally they are about 3 hours of exercises, demonstrations & discussion.

Your

Situated on 77 acres of native bush land, at the southern end of the Watagan ranges and adjacent to state forest. The retreat sits high on a cleared plateau with bush and native wildlife all around. Peace and quiet as well as privacy. Though still only 10 minutes to the shops.
We are located on the Central Coast (north of Wyong) and just 10 minutes to the F3 freeway and 50 minutes to either Sydney or Newcastle, making it a very accessible venue for this region. Our entry is via a 3.5 km drive on forest road, which gives us our special seclusion.
Accommodation is a fully self-contained 30 bed lodge with 9 bedrooms containing single bunks and double/queen beds (blankets & pillows provided). Large lounge area, dining area & fully equipped kitchen. Two double bathrooms and change room. (BYO linen).
Many facilities are available to guests including the 11 meter ionized & solar heated swimming pool and BBQ gazebo, the 144 sq./m barn (club, activity or seminar room), private meditation room and many fresh water dams and walking trails.
The "BARN" is a
beautiful rustic building (144sq/m) with a sound system, 2 wood heaters
and lots of atmosphere. Perfect for workshop groups and gatherings.
There is also a small meditation room, situated in the centre of the lawn, perfect for small group meditations, massage, healing or simply having some quiet time .
A very important point, our retreat is fully self-sufficient on tank water and SOLAR POWER, due to this we request that NO electrical items be brought to the retreat without first checking with us. i.e. no hairdryers, electric kettles, toasters or heaters. We ask you to be aware of how you use all powered items, only leave lights on that you need and be aware that the water is pumped via an electric pump as well. When necessary a generator comes on automatically to back-up the solar system.
We live and encourage a minimilist, sustainable lifestyle, using resources wisely.
There
is always power, we just use it wisely.
Activities
are endless depending on the needs of the workshop &
individuals. The retreat is clothing
optional (by
arrangement only) and can usually accommodate most requests. Bush
walking, mountain biking, meditation, vision questing, yoga, massage,
spiritual healing & solitude are all available by arrangement.
There are no structured or set activities everyday, we try
to work to
the needs of our guests. We tailor our
workshops to your individual requirements.
Meals
can be BYO or provided by arrangement. All
cooking facilities are provided, fully equipped kitchen, gas BBQ, wood
fire oven.
Regular visits from local wildlife of all kinds, the red-neck wallabies are a particular favorite.
ACCOMMODATION RATES
Basic "budget" accommodation rates are "$80.00 per guest for a 2 day/night minimum stay" & a daily $40.00 rate thereafter (all prices and availability on application). Self serve vegetarian catered meals can be provided from $40.00 per person per day ...click here for full catering details. As we are designed as a group facility there is a 6 guest minimum on any booking. Please inquire if you have a special request. Extra charges apply for individual services i.e. massage, healing, readings. A deposit/bond of $100 per day booked is required to secure your booking, this is returned to you after full payment for stay and if no damage is done to property & it is left fairly clean and tidy. This is non-refundable if booking is cancelled less than 2 months before booking date (may be transfered if another booking is made, by special request). Full payment for your stay should be made before or in cash on arrival - if group catering is required, then 50% of that payment is to be made 1 week prior to stay. The
retreat is accessible via an UNSEALED 3.5 km bush road in 2 WD vehicle,
in dry conditions. The road can become muddy in very
wet conditions, please call the retreat if you are unsure when
arriving. Map available via email on request.
The
local township of Wyee is only 8 km away and is on the rail line for
those travelling by train, pickup arranged on request.
The
local beach is only 15 minutes away to the
east at Budgewoi or the clothing optional Birdie Beach is only 20
minutes NE.
This
retreat facilities are changing everyday, Barry and Gillian Vaughan
purchased the property in 1997 and are working to create their dream of
a spiritual centre to accommodate small intimate groups of like-minded
people working towards a more enlightened and loving planet.
