Accommodation   Yuluwirri Lodge. Our main accommodation consists of a 30 bed lodge. It is self-contained with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, lounge area, 2 bathrooms with 3 showers, one of which is a double (so 4 really), 3 toilets and change room (with disabled access). There are nine bedrooms consisting of two rooms, each with a double bed and single bunk on top (sleeps 3), two bunk bed rooms, one with three single bunk beds (sleeps 6) and one with five single bunk beds (sleeps 10) then one room with a Queen bed and double bed (sleeps 3) and four double rooms, 1 with a double bed and 3 with queen beds (sleep 2 each). The lounge area has a slow combustion wood-fire heater which warms the entire lodge. We supply pillows and blankets to all the beds (linen is BYO but can be supplied at an extra cost) Cooking is on a gas stove and oven. Water is in tank storage and is fresh and clean. We request that resources are used wisely to avoid waste. No electrical appliances are to be brought to the retreat and used without prior consent. The lodge is approximately 24 metres long by 6.5 metres wide giving ample room for all it's guests.     As you can see the lodge has an easy open plan layout, with plenty of room to relax around the cozy wood-fire heater or catch a breeze through the north facing windows. It is well insulated so it stays cool in summer and warm in winter. Each bedroom is entered from the lounge so maximum warmth can flow throughout in colder months. The kitchen is equipped with almost everything you could need to cook all your meals. What isn't there we try to provide on request. The 2 ovens and cook top are gas and as mentioned no electrical appliances are to be brought by guests ( e.g.: NO hairdryer, toaster, kettle, fry pan, heater) The property is SOLAR POWERED and we try and encourage a minimalist approach to living, reducing consumption and waste. The lounge area has a wood-fire heater and plenty of seating. There are 3 dining tables plus room for more when necessary. Large bunk room with 5 single bunk beds, sleeps 10. Small bunk room with 3 single bunk beds, sleeps 6. The 2 double rooms inside the lodge both have a double/ single bunk bed in each. The first of the annex double rooms has a small double bed and queen bed, then there is one with a double bed and three with queen beds. The annex to the cabin has 5 bedrooms all shown above.  We don't allow smoking inside the lodge but this comfortable covered porch is a great place to sit around and chat. If your lucky you may find the wallabies having an early morning feed on the grass right outside the front door, or maybe the ducks will wonder down for a feed. The lodge is situated approximately 70 metres from the main house which gives you privacy, and is conveniently placed to the pool, sunroom and dams. Set amongst the gardens, lawns and fresh water dams the lodge is a very versatile accommodation facility. The Barn. The barn is only a short stroll away (20 metres) and is very popular for evening gatherings or for workshop classes. The barn is approximately 144 sq/m, and has 2 slow combustion wood fires, plus roof insulation. There is a stereo system, seating and carpet squares over the paved floor and a wonderful rustic atmosphere. It is a wonderful area for workshop and group activities. Just outside is a large area where you can sit around a bonfire .
